Future Prospects will be attending the Newark Jobs Fair, which is being hosted by Newark MP Robert Jenrick and Newark & Sherwood District Council. The event, said to be Newark’s biggest jobs fair, is at Holy Trinity Partnership Centre, Boundary Road, from 12.30pm to 5.15pm on Thursday 19th February.

In June 2010 unemployment in Newark stood at 2.6% of the workforce. By June last year it was 1.9% and now it is 1.2%, with 605 people claiming Job Seekers Allowance.

“The latest unemployment statistics show dramatic decreases in unemployment. More than 9,000 jobs have been created in Newark since 2010,” Mr Jenrick said.
